The Compass of Simplicity
I did not seek, yet it found me,
in quiet ways, simplicity.
No cluttered noise, no need to chase,
just breath and presence in their place.
The bark of dogs, the night’s still air,
a bed that holds me, soft with care.
A meal, a laugh, the smallest things,
remind me of the wealth life brings.
Not forced, not planned, but led instead,
to find new ways by where I tread.
The unknown came, I did not flee,
and now it flows with harmony.
To live in less is more profound,
the sacred truths in small are found.
In silence deep, the spirit grows,
the compass turns, simplicity knows.
When Simplicity Finds You
I didn’t set out to search for simplicity—simplicity found me. It arrived not as deprivation, but as invitation. Stripped of the conveniences I once leaned on, I discovered what it means to truly live with less noise and more clarity. It’s not just survival, but a deep recalibration: muscles aching in proof of effort, a warm shower after a long day, the joy of a shared meal, the faithful bark of dogs guarding the night. Each small thing teaches me what truly matters. What once felt like being pushed into the uncomfortable or unknown has become a chosen path. I no longer resist it; I welcome it. Because in simplicity, I am not diminished. I am evolving, expanding, and learning the beauty of becoming through what is essential.
